Mel Montisano

Mel has spent numerous years in the information technology (IT) industry. He worked in a multitude of capacities throughout his IT career ranging from computer operator to programmer. However, with his experience, skillset, and leadership abilities, Mel was trusted with the important task of computer operations supervisor, which led him to a career as the director of data processing at a large local hospital. He later broadened his (IT) industry knowledge by working in the utility, airline, and mutual fund industry as a consultant/contractor. He has lead individuals of various backgrounds and skill levels to work together to achieve specific IT goals.

Mel’s leadership has helped improve his ability to be a good listener and work well with others to achieve positive outcomes in all aspects of life. With real estate in his blood, Mel decided to follow in his father’s footsteps who left his home in Boston to start a new life in Kansas City as a realtor. Mel has welcomed the challenge of bringing his varied knowledge, attention to detail, and people skills to the world of real estate. He is very focused on finding the perfect home for his clients and enjoys spending time with them on a personal level to know exactly what they are looking for.

Mel is a Rockhurst graduate with a BS degree in Biology, as well as an MBA. He is a lifelong Kansas City area resident. Mel has a beautiful wife, Vickie, with whom he has two grown sons, two wonderful daughter-in-laws, and two grandbabies soon to make an appearance. Mel enjoys cooking, working in his yard, serving at his church—Abundant Life in Lee’s Summit, and spending time with friends and family.
